SigEp came to Mines in 1923, and has thrived ever since. In SigEp, we strive in every way to live up to our Three Cardinal Principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. To be the best house on campus, members of our Fraternity must be men of diverse abilities, backgrounds, and talents. On campus and in the Golden community, SigEp is focused on giving back through service and leadership roles. We have held the highest Greek GPA on campus for 7 semesters, and are dedicated to service in our community.

Our long-standing tradition of maintaining a substance-free facility has been credited with reducing many negative social pressures associated with young men while simultaneously promoting stronger bonds within our membership. Brothers living in the facility take pride in the environment performing weekly chores and kitchen duties.

Visitors may find it obscure that nearly 30 college-aged men live together in a well maintained chapter facility on the Colorado School of Mines campus. But for brothers who cite 1807 W. Campus Road as their home away from home, this Residential Learning Community plays an integral role in the SigEp and undergraduate college experience.

The chapter prides itself in horizontal diversity - men of different talents and walks of life all coming together for a common goal - becoming the best versions of ourselves we can be.
