We’re thrilled to announce that Colorado Delta at Colorado School of Mines has earned the Buchanan Outstanding Chapter Award (a.k.a. the “Buc Cup”) for the third consecutive Grand Chapter Conclave.
What is the Buchanan Cup?
Named after former Grand President Edwin Buchanan, this biennial award recognizes the top-performing Sigma Phi Epsilon chapters nationwide—only those that excel in every facet of chapter operations and further SigEp’s strategic mission earn it. Winners receive an engraved silver award; chapters that win five straight are elevated to a gold Buchanan Cup, marking a decade of excellence.
Why it matters
- Only about 20-30 chapters (out of 200+) receive the Buchanan Cup every Conclave, held once every two years.
- Colorado Delta’s third straight win confirms our commitment to excellence in academics, Balanced Man programming, recruitment, member development, and campus leadership.
- It’s a testament to the hard work of our brothers, alumni, advisors, and volunteers who keep our standards sky‑high.
Congrats to everyone involved—this hat‑trick is something to be damn proud of. Let’s keep crushing it and in search for that gold Buc Cup in 2029!
